Asian Senior Health and Wellness
The Project is working with 215 Asian seniors to assist them to access to the health and mental services and other services.
Youth Enrichment Project
The Project is working with up to 30 early teens at 2 middle schools (DeJean and Helm) in West Contra Costa Unified School District to offer the after extracurricular activities such as tutoring, art and cultural, social club, and outdoor sport activities. The Project also will engage with the parents to bring them getting involved with their kids' education and participate in the parent training to improve their parenting skills. The Project is funded by the Richmond Children and Youth Fund.
West Contra Costa Asian Environmental Justice
The Project is working with the Hazardous Materials Division of Contra Costa County Health Department to recruit and train 15 Asian Community Health Advocates on the environmental issues that affect the health and wellness of the people in West County.
Teen Dating Violence Prevention
The Project is in the partnership with the Contra Costa County Family Justice Center to work with 40 Asian families who have the teenager in their families.
The Project uses the CDC developed Parents Matter's curriculum to train the parents.
The Project is funded by the Office of Governor of California State.
